NATIONAL CERTIFICATION: CWCN–Certified Wound Care Nurse FNP-C–Family Nurse Practitioner Certified EXPERIENCE: Cindy is a board certified Advanced Practice Nurse in Family Medicine and a board certified Enterostomal Therapy nurse specializing in wounds, ostomies, and incontinence. She owned and operated Ahearn Associates an Independent Nurse Consultant Agency specializing in Wound Assessment, Documentation, Management, Education, Reimbursement, and Legalities prior to completing her advanced practice degree. She continues to serve as a Consultant in wound care for acute care, long term care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home care, independent companies and major manufacturers. In addition to direct patient care, Cindy is a national and international speaker and consults on wounds nationally and internationally via Telemedicine. Prior to independent practice she was the Clinical Director for the Charles R. Baxter Wound Center in Dallas, Texas. The outpatient clinic specializes in a comprehensive approach to wound and burn care and research.
